Outdoor adventure, camps and water activities

Outdoor experiences are a visible part of the group story, from time outside together to more adventurous activities.

Outdoor activity is one of the clearest themes in the public material available for 29th Belfast Scout Group. The programme is presented through practical experiences rather than classroom-style learning.

Examples noted in the foundation evidence include camps, hikes and kayaking. These kinds of activities help explain the public value proposition of Scouting without publishing private schedules, live locations or detailed arrangements.

Any future story about a specific camp, hike or water activity should be approved, dated, checked for consent, and reviewed to ensure it does not reveal sensitive youth routines or locations.
